Hong Kong, 24 August 2011 : Key decision-makers from global retail giant Tesco and Univeg Group will be at ASIA
FRUIT LOGISTICA 2011 looking to source the best the Asian fresh produce market has to offer.
An impressive
4,000 visitors from some 50 countries are expected at Asia’s leading fresh produce trade show, which takes place on 7-9 September at
the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong .
“My plans are to meet with some key industry contacts and to look around the display halls for potential new products,” says Johnathan Sutton, who is responsible for sourcing food products from within Asia and Oceania for Tesco Group Food Sourcing in Thailand.
“We are always looking for new opportunities in the region and ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA is a good platform to engage with the Asia-focused industry’,” he reveals.
Univeg Germany’s managing director Tom Paemeleire will be attending the show for the first time, reaffirms the company’s plans to expand its horizons in the East. “Our interest in this networking opportunity is great, clearly Asia is a strong market and a source of growing importance to us.”
