Banana Footprint Expands Further! Fresh Del Monte Deepens Southeast Asia Presence with THACO AGRI

Fresh Del Monte, the globally renowned fresh produce company, has announced a long-term strategic partnership with THACO AGRI, the agricultural division of Vietnam's THACO Group, to strengthen its sourcing capabilities in Southeast Asia.

Under the agreement, the two companies will work together on long-term banana sourcing, covering production bases across Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. THACO AGRI will also develop dedicated pineapple cultivation areas in phases to meet Fresh Del Monte's future sourcing needs.

Fresh Del Monte said the partnership aligns with its strategy to broaden its global sourcing network and deepen its presence in Southeast Asia, and will help address production challenges facing the global banana industry while strengthening supply-chain stability and long-term resilience.

THACO AGRI currently operates more than 85,000 hectares of agricultural land across Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, applying an integrated, circular production model spanning fruit cultivation and livestock farming. The partnership will also see THACO Industries, THACO Group's mechanical engineering division, collaborate with Fresh Del Monte on agricultural mechanisation and automation solutions, jointly driving improvements in agricultural productivity and operational efficiency.
