Join ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA’s Bangkok Business Meet-Up

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA’s new roadshow of Asia Business Meet-Ups heads to the Thai capital on 3 April.

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA brings together leading players in Thailand’s fresh produce business for a day of networking and knowledge-sharing at its Bangkok Business Meet-Up on 3 April.

Taking place at the Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit, the Business Meet-Up is the third stop for ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA’s new roadshow of content-backed networking events in key markets across Asia.

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA has launched the series of Business Meet-Ups to deepen its connections with regional players and build even greater momentum for the trade show’s return to Hong Kong on 4-6 September 2024. The final stop of Business Meet-Up takes place in Shanghai, China on 27-28 May 2024.

“Thailand is one of Asia’s powerhouse fresh produce exporters and it’s a key market in the South-East Asia region for imported fruits,” said David Axiotis, managing director of Global Produce Events, organiser of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our existing and future partners to the Bangkok Business Meet-Up to connect and explore the exciting growth opportunities for the Thai industry. We have a top line-up of expert speakers ready to share their insights and help you grow your business in 2024. We’ll also share our exciting plans for ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA this September in Hong Kong.”

The programme features a wide range of expert perspectives focused on ‘Cultivating success in fresh produce’, with most of the talks and sessions conducted in Thai.

Chaisak Ringluen, Director of the Office of Agricultural Regulation at the Department of Agriculture, provides an update on Thailand’s import protocols and phytosanitary standards for fresh produce.

Natiya Suchinda, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) at the Ministry of Commerce, also explains its initiatives to expand overseas markets.

Apinun Suprasurt, Vice President of Krungthai Compass, Krungthai Bank’s research unit, provides his perspective on ‘Turning challenges into chances for Thailand’s fruit and vegetable industry’.

The focus then shifts to logistics, as Thiti Sriwanayos, senior consultant at the National Food Institute, shares his expert insights on cold chain management for fresh fruit and vegetables.

The Business Meet-Up wraps up with an on-stage discussion on the key trends in Thailand’s fresh produce business. Erick Aponte, Trade Commissioner-Director at PromPeru for Hong Kong and ASEAN, provides a global supplier’s perspective on the strategic importance of the Thai market. He is joined by leading Thai retailers and importers who outline the latest shifts in consumer behaviour, and the outlook for trade in 2024.

“As promoters of Peru’s thriving agricultural export sector, we are thrilled to participate in the upcoming Bangkok Business Meet-Up event,” said Aponte. “Thailand has proven to be an exceptional emerging market for Peruvian fruits, displaying remarkable growth within the ASEAN region. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to share our success story and collaborate with industry peers at the event to propel our collective growth.”

RSVP for the ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA Business Meet-Up in Bangkok closes soon on 20 March. Seats are limited and available on first come, first served basis. The event is free to join and all relevant industry peers in fresh produce are welcome. Complimentary networking luncheon will be offered.
